“Royal” door, found in Christiania, now installed in a steel façade
This recreational property is uniquely special. The design uses beautiful combinations of materials, a "royal market stall find", terrace corners and garden space, cosy water installations, garden art and sculptures - located in the heart of beautiful countryside.
Steel profiles work well with other building materials
Originally built in 1927, this property has undergone a complete “makeover”. The beautiful ornamented wooden front door started life in a royal building, found its way to a market in Christiania and ended here, in this remarkable property in Nibe. The door has an elevated position in the façade and the choice of building materials - steel, stone, wood and glass - is beautifully emphasised by the design of the entrance.
Steel profiles have a prominent role in this renovated home
The façade facing the road is a wonderful example of steel profiles - DS Nordic Click Seam 475 is used on the roof and the façade. But as you circle the house, you realise that the steel profiles also include beautiful and special brickwork, and that the façades are contrasted with large windows. A North Jutland gem that could easily be called a dream house.
DS Nordic Click Seam on roof and façade
When the roof and façade are covered with steel profiles it creates an extravagant look, and DS Nordic Click Seam is the perfect choice of material if you want a modern home with a contemporary look. DS Nordic Click Seam is extremely contemporary when it comes to architectural design and the growing demand for sustainable construction. The steel profiles are available in three variants, with an even, bent and cut front edge. They are available in two profile widths and with and without design lines. In addition, DS Stålprofil produces the click seam profiles in steel and copper.
Sustainable steel profiles
In 2022, DS Stålprofil was certified Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze for the main product group of steel for roof and façade cladding, the first manufacturer of its kind in Denmark to achieve this certification. This also includes DS Nordic Click Seam, which is produced in Green Coat® steel from SSAB. Green Coat® steel is a unique solution, where a substantial part of the traditional fossil oils are replaced by Swedish rape-seed oil, which is 100% recyclable.
