Clean smoke in the stack

ME Production is located in Northern Jutland and was established in 1945. The company is a developer and manufacturer of marine exhaust gas scrubbers and other products and services for the maritime sector, food industry, cement industry and the offshore wind power and energy sector. The company’s main office is located on two addresses on the waterfront on Frederikshavn and the company also has production facilities in China.

DS Stålprofil supplied roof and wall panels for the production halls located on Sandholm 55, where ship smokestack scrubbers are manufactured. An ME Production scrubber is installed in a ship’s smokestack and it removes the sulphur in the exhaust gas. This successful technology has been the basis for ME Production’s significant growth.    

Sandholm 55 is actually an old factory that has been renovated with new anthracite-grey panel cladding, which matches the existing blue facade cladding and facade elements with exposed stone. The building has a distinctive industrial look and stands out well in an area that exudes nostalgia, maritime atmosphere and genuine port industry.
