Huge “tumble drier” at Vordingborg Port
This grain port terminal is owned by Masnedø Bulk Terminal and Cimbria, and is located on Vordingborg Port.
ECO-Logic is a modern drying facility, designed by Buttimer Engineering Poland. ECO-Logic has the market’s most advanced technology for drying grain and is expanding capacity at its existing facility from 40,000 t to 150,000 t. The facility includes two 330 t/h transport ramps, a 1000 t/h intake, and loading/unloading from ships and pre-cleaning of up to 800 t/h and a drying process of 19–15% humidity for wheat at 125 t/h.
The drying facility is clad in DS Trapezoidal Profile and sandwich panels, and the rear wall cassettes are in light grey and grey-white, which blends in with the existing plant and surrounding silos.
The trapezoidal profiles, sandwich panels and rear wall cassettes are a sensible choice for a healthy budget for a production plant that is intended to last for many, many years. The trapezoidal profiles have a lifetime of 50 years – combined with energy-efficient sandwich panels with excellent fireproof characteristics and the rear wall cassettes with a high level of insulation, this will ensure that this solution is future-proof for drying tons of grain at Vordingborg Port.
