Award-Winning Headquarters for Danish Crown in Randers
Danish Crown's new headquarters is not only visually stunning; it has also achieved DGNB Gold Heart certification, emphasizing the building's sustainable nature and the builder's commitment to making a positive impact on both the environment and employee well-being. DS Stålprofil has supplied steel roofing for this project in the DS Nordic Click Seam design, using GreenCoat® steel from SSAB, which significantly contributes to the overall sustainability certification of the construction.
Danish Crown has been awarded the Randers Municipality Architecture Prize in 2023 for their brand-new headquarters, and it's easy to see why. The building is not just a prime example of modern architecture; it also demonstrates how a meticulous selection of materials can beautifully come together both inside and out.
CEBRA architects, who designed the project for Danish Crown, state, "The building and landscape design support a network and activity-based working environment that focuses on the physical and mental well-being, as well as the social and professional welfare of the employees. The wings that fan out optimize daylight conditions at workstations and in common areas. The staggered composition provides views of the open landscape throughout the building, optimizing indoor climate and comfort."
Meticulous Material Selection for Longevity
Every detail in the building is carefully considered, and materials are chosen with an emphasis on long-term durability. For example, the steel roof cladding design is not only visually appealing but also ensures the building remains beautiful and functional for many years. This is an example of a sustainable choice where aesthetics and durability go hand in hand.
