Atypical asymmetry with steel on top
An atypical, asymmetrical residential building built in Køge. Folkarkitekter has designed this beautiful one-storey building, “Bjerggade Kile”, on the border between the old “Køge Centre” and the new district “Køge Kyst”. The building stands out yet is perfectly integrated with the surrounding buildings. Located on a wedge-shaped site, it rounds off Bjerggade in convincing style.
Freedom to imagine
The asymmetrical lines of the property’s roof create an extravagant look and masterfully demonstrate that DS Nordic Click Seam can be “cut” exactly as you dreamed it. Complete creative freedom in directions, angles, colours and more. When using steel profiles in architectural drawings, the possibilities are virtually endless.
Steel profiles and bricks – “red on red”
When steel profiles and façade tiles are tinted in the same colour, it results in a homogeneous overall look. The asymmetrical lines and oblique angles are nicely “held together” and balanced by the red shades. And the “red architecture” somehow or other manages to become the overall and unifying look of this residential property.
Did you know that DS Stålprofil has a whole “department” for architects?
We love it when our steel profiles are used in creative, architect-designed solutions - so we’ve made our website easy for architects. You will find everything about sustainability, our Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze, you can find technical documentation for DS Nordic Click Seam, and read testimonials from fellow architects who have chosen to use steel profiles. You can also download our Architect Portfolio or book a “Let's Talk Steel meeting” with our architectural consultant.
Steel profiles are for everyone
You don’t need to have an architectural title to use our website. You can for example have a look at our inspiration catalogue. It has examples of beautiful roof and façade cladding using steel profiles for commercial properties, offices, holiday homes, sports buildings, institutions, agricultural and residential buildings - in short, all types of buildings. There are significant economic advantages when using steel profiles for roof and façade cladding compared to other building materials. They excel in every parameter – design freedom, installation time, maintenance, longevity and sustainability. In other words, anyone can have an exclusive and aesthetically pleasing building at a reasonable price.
