Red-brick house from the 1970s “repackaged” in steel profiles
This private home, built in the 1970s, has been renovated and modernised with total cladding in steel profiles. Only a glimpse of the old garage reveals that the home was previously “packaged” in red brick. Using DS Nordic Click Seam on the roof and façade has significantly transformed this private home, creating a thoroughly modern and contemporary look.
With this total renovation, a 1970s home leaps forward in time, becoming thoroughly modern and contemporary!
Click Seam forms straight raised lines, which together with the modern-sized windows and doors, creates a symmetrical dimension and homogeneous look. The large, clean surfaces of the steel profiles on both the roof and façade powerfully help to create a minimalistic design and the effect ensures the renovation of this home has succeeded wonderfully, with an updated, modern look.
DS Nordic Click Seam embodies Nordic design
We named our click seam product Nordic Click Seam because the steel profile and its clean look is the result of design DNA passed on from Nordic architecture’s forebears. During the 1960s in particular, Danish architecture led the way around the world, and it is still clearly a source of inspiration in modern, Danish architecture. DS Nordic Click Seam has already been used by many architects and has become a stylish link, bridging proud traditions and contemporary building trends.
